To overcome the limitations of the classical laminate modeling such as the First Ply Failure, Digimat provides a Progressive Failure Model that allows to capture more accuretly the failure scenario that can happen during working conditions.

This methodology will be exposed and two examples of applications will be proposed. The first one will show how this methodology is applied at the coupon level for Material Virtual Testing; the second one will deal with a impact on an aircraft door surround.
